The DNS Records tab is available at /dns/<domain>. It looks
up the searched hostname and displays the DNS record sets returned for it.
Lookup failures
If a domain is delegated to nameservers that are unreachable, refuse public queries, or are not configured for the zone, StatsDen shows a DNS lookup failure message instead of record tables. This usually means the domain's registrar delegation or authoritative DNS hosting needs attention.
Subdomain searches
When you search a subdomain, StatsDen also checks each parent domain down to
the registrable domain. For example, a lookup for
api.beta.example.com can show separate sections for
api.beta.example.com, beta.example.com, and
example.com.
What the table shows
- Record type: each DNS record set, such as A, AAAA, MX, NS, TXT, CNAME, or SOA.
- TTL: the time-to-live returned by DNS, with a human-readable tooltip.
- Details: the record value returned by the resolver.
- Location: a best-effort location hint for A, AAAA, and NS records when available.
Access
Anonymous visitors can use DNS Records. Authenticated users with unverified email addresses must verify their email before running domain analysis.
